Nettle, contact your local ADSS, the alzheimers and dementia support services. Someone will come out and visit you and your hubby and talk through the illness.
Our GP was useless, we got better help with all medications from our local adult mental health team.

Money wise look at the following...we weren't told about these at first, and I wish someone had mentioned them.
Contact your council, you will be entitled to a discount on your council tax from the date of your hubby's diagnosis.
Your husband will be able to claim attendance allowance, you can claim carers allowance.
And remember, don't be afraid to ask for help, from family, from friends, and the ADSS can talk you through what community support is out there.
And don't be afraid to talk to each other, or have a good cry, I did both with my wife right through her illness, and though she passed away in May, I still talk to her every day.
