Swollen feet! | Dementia Support Forum

Hi - my mum, who has mixed Alzheimers & vascular dementia, also has very swollen feet and I've tried buying shoes from some online firms in the widest possible sizes. They don't fit - her feet are too swollen even for an 8E! Does anyone know of another solution? Can I buy velcro to 'extend' the velcro on her sandals (the one pair of shoes that just about fit)? Is there a specialist shoe firm? Trying here as the occupational therapist takes forever to reach ... Tx, redmini
